Mode 1.1.2 makes previews faster, setup safer, and help easier to find, alongside improvements across the canvas and project imports.
Mode now prepares every page before you open it, so the first visit to a portal or preview feels faster instead of waiting for the page to compile. Previews also recover more cleanly after a project restarts.
Add and edit environment variables during setup or manage them later as an organization member. Saved secrets remain masked, and Mode verifies that the app still starts before accepting new values. Reopening the dialog during verification resumes the running check.
A new help button is always available in the sidebar. Contextual help also appears when automatic setup is taking longer than expected, needs your input, or detects an unsupported framework.
Selection-aware undo: Undo and redo now restore what was selected at each step.
Opacity feedback: Type digits to set opacity and see the resulting percentage in a temporary message.
Better drawing in auto layout: Newly drawn elements are inserted where you begin drawing instead of at the end of the frame.
More accurate dragging: Clicking and dragging absolutely positioned elements is more precise.
Unified code changes: The composer indicator and code-changes dialog now use the same project revision, so their counts stay in sync.
Smarter page detection: Imports now understand route groups and dynamic route parameters, normalize page paths, and report pages that need correction.
Refreshed setup: New loading and completion screens make setup progress clearer, with additional sidebar and dialog polish.
Holding Shift while resizing from a corner now preserves the element's aspect ratio.
Clicking an agent that is still working no longer removes its active indicator.
Spacing and gap indicators now use the correct parent dimensions.
Previews reconnect more reliably after a project restart.
Opening many portals no longer leaves behind unnecessary canvas listeners.
