Mode 1.1.3 brings the design panel into live browser previews, alongside clearer portal loading, more predictable canvas behavior, and a round of fixes.
The design panel now works with elements inside docked browser previews. Select an element in the running page and edit its styles directly. Pending changes stay available across browser sessions, previews open in edit mode, and the apply action is clearer.
Clear portal loading and recovery: Portals now show a polished loading screen while the page starts instead of a blank frame. If loading fails, an error screen appears and automatically retries until the page recovers.
Visible resize limits: Mode shows an element's minimum and maximum bounds while you resize, and the size label respects those limits on both axes. This also fixes paragraphs that could not be resized.
Predictable absolute positioning: Switching an element from static to absolute keeps it in the same place, automatically anchors it to its parent, and updates the layers-panel icon immediately.
Lighter canvas loads: Portals no longer open an unnecessary hidden copy of each page, reducing background connections and requests on canvases with many portals.
New onboarding form: New users now receive a short questionnaire during signup so Mode can better understand how they found the product and what they want to create.
Simplified codebase cards: Cover screenshots are no longer shown on codebase cards.
Refreshed help icon: The sidebar help icon has been updated.
Agent replies no longer appear twice after streaming overlaps with a saved response or reconnect.
A single change no longer creates duplicate checkpoints, and checkpoint rows now use the correct icons.
Rapidly reopening a portal no longer starts overlapping sandbox sessions.
