Mode can now design with your existing components, turn Figma designs into editable canvas elements, and move uploaded projects into GitHub without restarting your work.
Mode's agents can browse your design system and use your actual components when creating new interfaces.
Ask for a pricing section, for example, and Mode can build it from your existing buttons and cards while selecting the appropriate variants. Changes made inside a component, such as replacing its text, are preserved when you switch variants or reload the canvas.
Copy frames or elements in Figma and paste them directly onto the Mode canvas.
Mode recreates them as editable elements rather than a flattened screenshot. Layouts, gradients, shadows, text styles, and icons are carried across. When you paste multiple frames, Mode preserves their relative spacing.
Projects that started as zip uploads can now be converted into GitHub repositories from the canvas.
Mode brings your current changes into the new repository and opens a pull request, so you can continue from your existing work instead of starting again.
Apps inside larger repositories and monorepos now import correctly.
The redesigned import screen shows live setup progress.
Imports resume after reloading the page or sharing the project with a teammate.
Repositories appear immediately after connecting GitHub.
Failed imports show a clear status instead of remaining on an endless spinner.
Resize multiple elements: Select several elements and scale them together.
Faster selection: Marquee selection and resizing perform better with large selections.
Select nested elements: Hold ⌘ while selecting to target elements inside a group or component.
Better drag and drop: Components, pasted elements, and Alt-drag duplicates land more predictably.
Cut elements: ⌘X now works on the canvas.
Persistent previews: Running apps keep their state when you close and reopen the preview.
Improved text editing: Text stays in place when you begin editing it, and color changes apply correctly to selected text.
Fixed agent conversations that could become stuck and stop responding, including conversations that were already stuck.
Agent conversations now open faster.
Creating pull requests from the canvas is more dependable.
Organization repositories are created correctly.
Snapshots are captured in the expected location.
Portal address bars remain visible.
Double-clicking a preview reopens your most recent agent conversation.
